Making a Booking

Scheduled Sunset and Lunchtime Nature tours: We recommend booking direct on our website interface.   

Private bookings: To confirm a "Private Charter" or a group booking, we require $700 minimum deposit.  When your deposit is received we consider your booking confirmed – until then we operate on a first in first served basis.

Note Independent Tour Operators may seek alternative arrangements.

Direct Payments 

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Online and Bank Deposits to secure your booking. The boat is equipped with Eftpos, Paywave and Credit Card Facilities onboard. All bookings must be paid in full before the scheduled sailing unless prior arranged or deposits received.  Bar tabs are to be paid in advance. Special Promotions, Coupons and Promo Codes can be entered as form of Payment. All Open Dated Agent Vouchers will have to be redeemed manually by contacting our office 07-825-6522

Bookings made through third-party agents

If you book through a third-party agent (for example TripAdvisor, BookMe, GetYourGuide, or another travel reseller), please be aware that their service or booking fees are set by them and are not controlled by Raglan Boat Charters. We will always honour our refund and cancellation policy for the portion you paid to us, but any agent fees remain between you and that agent.
We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen events such as travel delays, illness, or other circumstances beyond your control.

Cancellation Policy, Refunds & Deposits

Public Cruises – Individual Tickets

  • Cancel 24 hours or more before departure → Full refund or free reschedule.

  • Cancel within 24 hours or no-show → No refund.

  • If Raglan Boat Charters cancel for any reason → Full refund (excluding 3rd party “agent” booking fees) or free reschedule.

Private Charters – Group Bookings

  • A $700 deposit is required to secure your booking date.

  • Cancel or reschedule 14 days or more before departure → Free reschedule (deposit carried forward), or cancel with a 15% admin fee.

  • Cancel less than 14days before departure → Deposit (and any payments made) are non-refundable.

  • If Raglan Boat Charters cancel for any reason → Free reschedule or full refund (excluding 3rd party “agent” booking fees).

Please note: “Non-refundable” applies to deposits and any payments made. We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen events.

All timeframes (e.g. 24 hours / 14 days) are measured from the scheduled departure time in New Zealand local time.

Booking confirmation

Once your online booking is confirmed you will receive a confirmation email or SMS (make sure you complete the details correctly). Instructions on departure time, address and Special Instructions such as dress for the weather and Children must be observed at all times. Please arrive 15 min prior to departure for boarding. Refreshments are available for purchase on Wahinemoe only.

It is important to provide correct email and telephone details as we will call you in case the weather causes us to cancel at short notice.  

Wharf directions & Transport Options

Our Boats operate from the Raglan Wharf  at 92 Wallis St, Raglan. The passenger dock ramp is located beside Raglan Fish Market.  Please allow 20 minutes to secure parking during peak season.  Wakahuia can operate from multiple pick up locations depending on the tides.

Rates

Prices are in NZ dollars & include G.S.T. Prices are subject to change so please check with us to confirm rates.  Booking fees via agents are applicable.  Please be aware that bookings via agents and affiliates may need to be rebooked and refunded via them directly, however we will endeavor to assist you.

Covid

At Raglan Boat Charters the wellbeing and safety of our employees and guests is our top priority. We are closely monitoring advice from the New Zealand Ministry of Health and are currently sailing as per Covid-19 Protection Framework under the Food and Drink Service Guidelines at Orange. When boarding the WahineMoe we recommend that you and your guests use the New Zealand COVID-19 Tracer app. You can be assured that we have taken a well-considered approach and will continue to provide you with the incredible experience we are renowned for.

Safety instructions are provided by the Captain of the vessel and administered by the crew.  All our staff are trained in safety and passengers must follow the advice given.
